Children delighted with new playground at School in Puerto Cabezas

“When we finished the work, there were at least 40-plus kids on the new play equipment,” stated Bryans Fitzhugh, team leader of seven volunteers from the University Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX, who went to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua on a multi-mission project.

Being Ready Has Its Blessings

 

Recently a US parternship team came to Nicaragua to help the congregation of Bismuna construct their first worship facility. However, due to the heavy and late rains the road to Bismuna was inpassable and the church members were not able to collect the sand needed to make the concret blocks. Plans had to change. The team was schedule to come, yet were would they work? The small congregation of Panua was not considered by the Miskito leadership as a high priority, yet the church had already collected the sand and gravel to make their block. Plans were shifted and the team from Perry, Florida went to Panua and together they buit a beautifull place to worship the Lord.

What do College Students do on Spring Break?

Most college students spend spring break on the beach or sleeping late. Not 10 students from Dallas Baptist University. Lead by student minister Jason Hatch, these young men spent their well deserved spring break building houses for the "least of these" in the jungles of Nicaragua.
