Eubanks Leaving After 2 Years Of Ministry

The past two months have been a whirlwind for us filled with lots of trials, travels, and ultimately some changes. Honduras has been in the news over the past couple of months because of earthquakes and political changes. While we have seen some effects from these things, they have been of minimal impact on our lives here in Honduras. Please pray for the continued peaceful resolution of the political problems here in Honduras.

We had the opportunity to travel to Puebla, Mexico in June for a prayer retreat with some of our colleagues that work in Mexico and Central America. It was an encouraging time of sharing and praying together. While in Mexico we also got to spend time with our supervisors and the decision has been made for us to transfer from Puerto Lempira to Copan, Honduras for our last few months with the IMB. While we are excited about the new things that we will be doing, it is also difficult to say goodbye to those whom we have been with for the last year. Please pray for us as we make this transition.

When we left Mexico, we visited Copán for a few days, looking for a home and getting to know our new colleagues. We will be working with Billy and Mary Collins. They have been missionaries in Honduras for more than ten years and we are excited about working with them. Please pray for us and for them as we learn to work together.

After a few days in Copán, William returned to Puerto Lempira to pack up our things and to say goodbye. Amanda and Liam spent a few days at the beach with Amanda’s mother. They had a great time relaxing together and resting from all of the traveling. We returned to Copán on July 7th and have spent the last few days settling in to a new home and getting acquainted with a new town. We are looking forward to traveling to some of the villages where the Collins have been working and getting to know the people that we will be teaching and helping. We will share more about the people and the work we will be doing next month.

As we go through all of these changes we are thankful for all of you who pray for us. It is of great help and encouragement to us. We would ask that you continue to pray for us, especially in our new assignment. Our two-year term with the IMB will be completed in October. Please pray we will finish well in the final few months of our term. As always, we would love to hear from you and what God is doing in your life.
